Program Background & Objectives:

Livestock production continues to expand in number of farms and types of enterprises creating a need for new markets and improved production practices to meet the needs of those markets. Whether your interest in livestock is new or as an experienced producer, we can provide assistance. Site visits and individual consultations are available. The bimonthly newsletter, the Part-Time Farmer, will help educate and keep producers aware of new developments.

Annual Livestock Programs

Horse Symposium - Annual educational program held in the Spring of each year.  Speakers present a variety of horse topics. Excellent program for beginner and seasoned adult horse enthusiasts.

Saratoga County Fiber Tour - Visit sheep, llama, alpaca, & angora rabbit farms in Saratoga County. Annual event in the Spring. 

Saratoga County Fair - Various livestock shows for all interests. End of July.  Visit the Saratoga County Fair  website at www.saratogacountyfair.org.
